After 4 years of preparation and 6 months of intense shooting the production of the movie "The rescue" is finally over. Director Dante Lam and star Eddie Peng celebrated the completion of shooting with an underwater dive in Mexico and a champagne toast. The movie will be released on Chinese New Year 2020.
The story focuses on five characters with different personalities, who form a rescue team. The Rescue explores themes of heroic self-sacrifice. The cast include, alongside Eddie Peng, Ian Wang, Xin Zhilei, Lan Yingying, Wang Yutian and Xu Yang. The teaser trailer was released in March.
